Baseboard (skirting)
Special tile installed along the perimeter of a room.
Bicottura (double-firing)
A type of ceramic tile that is glazed by firing twice: first the body and then the gaze.
The surface obtained through the double-firing method is shiny but delicate so it is basically used for wall coverings.
Body
It is the tile’s main structure, it can be compact (vitrified) or porous, with higher water absorption properties.
Border tiles
Special tiles highlighting one or more sides of a tile.
