Kerakoll

Kerakoll is one of the world's biggest chemical companies for the building industry, with major international divisions producing professional laying systems, specialized in chemical products and solutions for the restoration of historical buildings. With plants and offices in more than 150 locations in 25 different countries around the world, our task is to apply our advanced scientific knowledge to generating the essential conditions that will make our world a safer, nicer and more pleasant place to live. Our company can be considered international in the true sense of the word; we manufacture more than 500 "speciality" products for buyers all over the world.

Kerakoll International When defining Kerakoll's distinctive qualities, quality and dynamic spirit fit the bill precisely. This dynamism translates into solutions of outstanding performance and consistently groundbreaking technological contents, engineered to guarantee the extra levels of safety that make construction work a professional and successful profession. In constant evolution, Kerakoll International's superlative approach is unmatchable, and has led the company to becoming a major benchmark in the worldwide construction industry. Substrate division Kerakoll provides a full range of high technological content products to help laying professionals and design engineers reconcile the multitude of different requirements when laying substrates. The water-base, eco-efficient professional products for substrate preparation represent the most groundbreaking, easy-to-use technical solution of low environmental impact and all-embracing for any nature of application. Laying DivisionKerakoll professional solutions for the laying and grouting of homogeneous tiles, marble and natural stone currently encapsulate the most groundbreaking technology on the construction market. Building Division Through its ambitious cutting-edge research and development project, Kerakoll has pioneered innovative technologies for the professional restoration and regeneration of historically important buildings. The BME Technology technical mortars based on a perfect balance between elastic deformation and mechanical resistance, revolutionized the concept of the protective restoration of concrete and masonry structures, representing technological supremacy in single-component, low elastic modulus mortars. Quality Standard In all units of the Kerakoll Group, before being considered suitable for production, products undergo stringent testing in accordance with the very high requirements known as Kerakoll Quality Standard: a process supported by the Centre for Applied Technologies which assists the work of researchers with its sophisticated resources and laboratories. At the Kerakoll laboratories the various elements of formulations are carefully analysed to identify and eliminate any factors of weakness by means of simulation of real working conditions in building sites. After the testing cycles, the new products are submitted to the extreme fatigue of the Safety-Test process. European Regulations Kerakoll testing and quality-control methodology comply with the tests indicated by the new European Regulations, which represent a long-overdue step forward in harmonizing the current European regulatory system. This new standard of conformity in the field of adhesives and grouts for ceramic tiles and natural stone once again confirms the technological superiority of Kerakoll products. ISO 9001 In all divisions of the Kerakoll Group, Quality System experts meticulously ensure that all quality and safety directives are being met. Kerakoll's technological manufacturing system has received the approval of the strictest international quality control bodies in the sector: ISO 9001 Quality Certification. Exclusives Technologies Scientific research is an exacting process whereby formulations can be broken down a component at a time to examine even the smallest constituents and their associated behaviour. It can be likened to a journey in quest of new horizons and breakthroughs, to the extent that the slightest modification of a molecular structure can uncover a whole new and latent universe. Bonds between the organic and inorganic worlds are made of increasingly perfect and high-performing elements. A world in which Kerakoll leads the way on the innovation front. HDE Technology

Undergrounds, shopping centres, museums, airports, swimming complexes and urban spaces: laying professionals and design engineers know they can count on a reliable, trustworthy partner.

HDE Technology, the first in the world, was developed by Kerakoll engineers for the new range of Keratech self-levelling products. HDE is the abbreviation for High Dispersing Effect: the perfect balance between superior fluidity and extended self-levelling time, high mechanical performance and eco-compatibility.

SAS Technology

SAS (Shock Absorbing System) Technology is the exclusive testing method which, in the strictly scientific environment of the Kerakoll Research and Development Centre, reproduces real on-site conditions by simulating the most severe thermal and mechanical strains. The H40® range of Professional Adhesives reflects technological superiority in the strains cycles of the most highly advanced Safety-Test developed for cement-based adhesives.

SAS SULPHATE Technology

SAS (Shock Absorbing System) SULPHATE Technology is the exclusive testing method that uses sophisticated Test-Systems to reproduce the chemical attack of sulphate salts. This exclusive Safety-Test represents the most advanced adhesive testing technology engineered to guarantee high chemical and mechanical resistance when laying coverings on gypsum and anhydrite-based substrates. WRT Technology

The new generation of Fugabella® grouts features one of the most advanced systems for protection against the erosive action of water. WRT - Water Resistant Technology - acts on the surface tension of the grout, ensuring a superior degree of water resistance with water-drop effect and the lowest possible values in terms of water absorption. BME Technology

BME - Low Elastic Modulus - is the Kerakoll technological innovation which impedes the formation of micro-fractures due to excessive rigidity, thereby ensuring the effectiveness of all the mechanical and chemical properties of patching. The technological superiority of the Low Elastic Modulus Kerabuild® System for the protective restoration of concrete is based on a perfect balance between elastic deformation and mechanical resistance, while providing excellent performance values.

Microtech Technology

Microtech Technology is Kerakoll's exclusive technology for the restoration of damp walls, in which natural aerating micro-particles act on the hygrometric state of the Sanabuild® Dehumidifying System. Microtech Technology generates a structure of communicating micro-mesopores that guarantees the formation of a Diffusive Dynamic Circuit of vapour at constant pressure for the rapid elimination of the humidity.

Innovation as the norm

There is a development threshold beyond which many manufacturers do not strive to go. Kerakoll's scientific research, on the other hand, continues to make progress setting new and more advanced performance standards.

Our technological innovations are not just the absolute guarantee of outstanding performance, they also reflect the expression of state-of-the-art High-Tech at its utmost.
