Saime San Prospero

Saime Ceramiche is the historic brand of the Gruppo Ceramico Riwal, which is one of the most important groups in the wall and floor ceramic tile manufacturing sector.

The group includes four important commercial brands: Alfa, San Prospero, Saime, Lux with a turnover of over 150,000,000 Euro in 2003.
Riwal has its headquarters in Fiorano Modenese and overall it produces about 23,000,000 sq m of stoneware, single fired and double fired tiles in complete cycle manufacturing plants that adopt the state of the art technology.
The group has about 850 employees.
Today Saime is a dynamic and technical brand that concentrates in particular on products for export markets such as France and the United States, where it achieves 70% of its turnover with high quality aesthetic and technological product lines. The remaining 30% of the sales is made in Italy. It is a prestigious brand that offers a refined product range in line with the trends which is presented in the catalogue.

Saime, whose trademark was created in 1938, was taken over by Riwal Ceramiche in 1987. For a few years the commercial network of SAIME remained idle.
In that period the company RIWAL began restoring and renewing the factory, situated in Maranello, changing it in a short time into one of the most modern works in the world.
At the end of the expansion works, which also concerned the plants in Fiorano, and after the start-up of porcelained stoneware production in the factory at Roteglia, SAIME trade-mark was reproposed on the market with a complete range of high quality products. In 1996 this mark reappears, thus continuing a very long tradition which has marked the history of ceramics in Sassuolo for tenths of years.

The floor and wall ranges made of massive and glazed stoneware, single and double-fired tiles satisfy the most sophisticated market requirements as well as the needs of designers.
The product range represents the most complete offer that satisfies the requirements of demanding users and it includes plain or decorated colours together with special tiles and decors for walls and flooring, in different modular sizes and coordinated with the wall tiles.
